As Ramadan gathers pace, Saudi Arabia has announced the disbursement of more than SAR3 billion to social security beneficiaries, following a royal directive aimed at easing financial pressures during the holy month.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, directed the release of over SAR3 billion in Ramadan assistance. The move follows a recommendation submitted by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The directive reflects the leadership’s commitment to supporting beneficiary families and ensuring their needs are met during Ramadan.
Under the royal order, SAR1,000 will be allocated to the head of each household, while SAR500 will be provided for every dependent.
The total value of the assistance exceeds SAR3 billion. The funds are expected to be deposited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts within the coming hours, allowing families timely access to the support.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, expressed his gratitude to King Salman and the Crown Prince for the generous initiative.
He praised the leadership’s continued attention to citizens’ needs and highlighted their sustained support for social security beneficiaries during Ramadan.
The measure forms part of broader efforts to provide financial relief and reinforce stability for families during the holy month.
